NPS Concert Policy

​ The Concerts are the culmination of this class, equivalent to a final project or final exam. Attendance at all concerts is mandatory.  Absences are acceptable for:
  • attending funerals
  • due to illness provided that the teacher is notified BEFORE the concert
  • Other extenuating circumstances will be considered provided that the teacher is notified, in writing or email, a minimum of TWO WEEKS BEFORE the concert.
Concert Dress:
Black and white. Nice black pants or skirts that are at least knee-length, not leggings or jeans, preferred. Ties are encouraged! Dress shoes, not sneakers, preferred.

Grading

A-   An exceptional member of the ensemble. Reliable, helpful, attentive, and musical. Puts the welfare of the ensemble first and actively looks for ways to improve.
B-   A good member of the ensemble. Reliable, helpful, attentive, and musical much of the time.  Sometimes puts the needs of the ensemble first and sometimes puts him or herself first.
C-   Needs improvement as an ensemble member.  Puts him or herself first and does not often consider the ensemble.
F- Did not attend concert.
